Jakob Wandel is a multi-faceted photographer and director whose work shines through with evident attention to detail and his love for exploration and the outdoors.
Based in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee, Jakob picked up a film camera for the first time in 2015 following his service in the US Navy. Photography quickly went from being a personal interest to a clear career direction. Studying Entertainment Industry and Photography at Belmont University, Jakob’s ability to translate a concept or goal into a fully realized visual story was paired perfectly with his drive to consistently learn and refine his work.
A passion for travel & sustainability in his craft and beyond has taken Jakob all over the world producing iconic photography for organizations of all shapes and sizes, from local businesses and musicians to Fortune 500 companies. In addition to traveling for work, Jakob is known for taking solo cross country road trips that he documents across his social media accounts.
Whether he’s on a commercial set directing, documenting a solo road trip through the outdoors, or shooting on tour with musicians and fellow creatives, Jakob brings a refreshing angle of versatility to every project.
